Welcome to St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church
On
behalf of the clergy and staff here at St. Catherine’s, I welcome you
to our parish. I hope and pray you will see yourselves as active participants
in your discipleship role.
Our parish is very active through the unique and special gifts of one another. Your blessings depend on what you give for the love of your fellow parishioners, for which you will be greatly rewarded. We are a family that builds and works together, to love and serve one another, today and every day of our lives. I invite you to share your gifts. In giving of ourselves, we receive so much more.
Respectfully,
Reverend N. Brendan Doyle
Pastor
My Lord, what do you want me to do? I will do it.
Saint Catherine's Family of the month: We would like to recognize families which you believe demonstrates the values that are worthy of acknowledgement. Alliance of the Two Hearts
First Friday Vigil Communion of Reparation. What is the Alliance of the Two Hearts? It is a “covenant of love” between God and Mary. It is a “covenant of love” between God and man, whom Mary represents. Come and celebrate with us at 8:00 p.m. each 1st Friday in room 218.
Eucharistic Adoration
Why not spend one hour in front of Our Lord in quiet in our adoration chapel? If you find the peace we know you will by relaxing in the Lord’s presence - return often! Make a visit to the Chapel a regular part of your week.
St. Catherine of Siena Church has been adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in our adoration chapel for over six years. You too can participate by signing up for one hour a week or just visiting the chapel as you are able. Eucharistic Adoration substitutes needed Contact Grisselle (678) 290-8692
“The Eucharist is a priceless treasure; by not only celebrating it but also be praying before it outside Mass we are enabled to make contact with the very wellspring of grace”. Pope John Paul II
The Elijah Cup
The purpose
of the Elijah Cup, a consecrated chalice, is to provide a focal point for
prayer.
We are all aware of the need for vocations to the priesthood, the diaconate and to the religious life. But sometimes we forget just how powerful praying for an increase in vocations can be. If we pray with the faith of the widow of Zarapeth, our cup will never run dry! We will always have priests to bring us Jesus in the Eucharist.
How the Program Works
Each week at Sunday Mass the celebrant will use the Elijah Cup as the chalice or a precious blood cup. After purifying the Elijah Cup at the end of Communion, he calls a family, individual, or couple forward to receive the Elijah Cup. They receive a blessing and take the cup home, putting it in a place of honor.
Each day for a week, during prayer time (morning, bedtime or at meals), they pray for an increase and perseverance of vocations. The following Sunday they return the Elijah Cup with the gifts of bread and wine at the Offertory.
Praying for vocations is the most powerful way to support vocations. A vocation is a call from the Holy Spirit, a gift from God that is nurtured in prayer. When we pray for vocations, we lift up to our Father those men and women who he is calling in a very special way. We hope that those who bring the cup home will continue to pray for vocations daily.

First Friday Vocations Holy Hour
Please
join us every First Friday, which will include Mass at 9:00AM, First Friday
devotions, Rosary for Vocations and Eucharistic Adoration.
Without our priests, we have no Eucharist; therefore, we must pray together that Our Lord will send us holy apostles and that He will sustain our priests, deacons, sisters and seminarians,
Families are especially invited to join in this devotion, as strong, Catholic families are the primary source of religious vocations.
An Elijah Cup will be presented after each Holy Hour which will be kept in the home for the entire month and returned on the following First Friday.
Your participation will send a strong message to our young men and women that religious vocations are, indeed encouraged and supported by the parishioners of St. Catherine's Church
First Saturday Devotions
Devotions to Our Lady of Fatima are held on the First Saturday of each month.
The Rosary is prayed as well as the Litany of Our Lady of Fatima. We invite
all to attend after the 08:30 Mass on the First Saturday. This is prayed for
World Peace and for Reparation of Sins throughout the world.
